Cargo opens a cultural dialogue between Israel and Germany by using the new genre of
comic journalism. It features contributions by Israeli and German artists who visited each other's country and made objective observations on the life and culture of the guestland. The stories include a visit to the illegal villages in the Negev Desert, a stroll through Tel Aviv, a melancholic walk through Berlin and the panopticon of religious and everyday life in Jerusalem. The artists include Jens Harder (Nominee for Best Artist in Angouleme 2004, Winner of the Max & Moritz Award 2004). Plus, Tim Dinter, Jan Feindt from Germany, Yirmi Pinkus, Rutu Modan (from the Israeli artists collective Actus Tragicus), and Guy Morad.
