The Journal interviews Zap artist S. Clay Wilson, best known for his panoramas of sex and violence involving lesbian bikers, zombie pirates and a Checkered Demon. Another mastermind of unsavory comics, Jhonen Vasquez, talks about creating the animated Invader Zim and the goth-comics fave Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and provides a glimpse of projects on the horizon. Alex Robinson, the Harvey-and-Eisner-winning cartoonist, will discuss his graphic novels Box Office Poison, Tricked and Too Cool to Be Forgotten. And a special back-to-school section will feature a gallery of undiscovered potential comics masterpieces by students from the Center for Cartoon Studies.
